We currently have an opening for a Structural Engineer with 5+ years of building design and analysis experience in a consulting engineering design firm setting. We are looking for an engineer who can perform a broad range of designs and analysis including reinforced concrete, structural steel, masonry and wood framing systems. The successful candidate will bring a deep, successful track record of design, quality control and construction administration. In addition to an outstanding technical skillset, they will be a quick, flexible thinker and problem-solver who is accustomed to working in fluid teams on tight deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Research, plan and design a variety of buildings and non-building structures for government, industrial and commercial clients
- Prepare code compliant plans and coordinate drawings for a broad range of designs utilizing reinforced concrete, structural steel, masonry and wood framing systems
- Work on multidisciplinary design teams, primarily in house but also subconsultants
- Collaborate with the all disciplines to prepare presentations and produce documents from schematic design through to the construction phase
- Conduct and document site visits, process submittals, substitution requests, and RFI’s during construction
Desired traits:
- Experience with the design of reinforced concrete, structural steel, masonry and wood framing systems
- Experience with RISA 3D and the RISA suite of structural analysis software or similar structural analysis software.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit
- PE License considered a plus, but not required
