Design of Waterfront Facilities

Structures which are designed to resist wave action, storm surges, and hundreds of feet of water head are a specialty engineering branch that Colby Co. supports with our in-house team. We have worked in marine and waterfront ports from Halifax Nova Scotia to harbors in New York and New Jersey. We have renovated ship haulers for ships weighing up to 4,000 metric tons, designed pier and wharf repairs and piling repairs for structures capable of supporting a naval destroyer, prepared master plans for shipyard upgrades, designed marine fueling complexes, and designed a dry dock caisson for one of the largest and most active Dry Docks on the eastern seaboard.
